Dear Nursing Professional Association Partners
Hawai‘i State Center for Nursing (HSCN) asks for your immediate help with fielding the Nursing Workforce Supply Survey*. Normally, the fielding for the survey occurs within the nursing license renewal portal by providing a direct link at the beginning and end of the license renewal forms; this year changes to the license renewal platform is preventing typical access to the workforce survey.
We need your help to distribute the survey link (HTTP://GO.HAWAII.EDU/U3P) to all nurses in your organization's membership (LPN, RN, APRN) and to urge them to complete the survey, particularly if they have already renewed their license. Please send the attached resources to all nurses (i.e. board members, faculty, post-licensure nursing students, staff, volunteers, alumni, members, etc) in your network.
This survey is the most comprehensive compilation of nursing voices in Hawai‘i. It contributes to the local, state and national knowledge of nursing workforce and enables us to accurately portray the true value, impact, and reach of nurses in our state. This year, the survey includes additions that will be critical to documenting the true impact on healthcare nurses create, as well as the impact of COVID-19 on nurses. Past reports may be accessed here: https://www.hawaiicenterfornursing.org/supply/
We ask that you help us by directly distributing information about how to access the survey to your nursing network and encouraging them to take the survey. Please contact me or Dr. Carrie Oliveira (carrieol@hawaii.edu), the HSCN workforce researcher, should you need more information on this request.
With urgency,--
Laura Reichhardt, MS, APRN, AGPCNP-BC (she/her)
